Donation Letter to Potential Donors

Dear _______________,

Apple Youth Group is a non-profit organization that serves at-risk youth in our community. As our programs are not subsidized by the state or local government, we completely rely on donations received from benevolent community members and businesses. By keeping troubled youth off the streets we make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. We provide a structured supportive environment for young people that includes a healthy meal and/or snack, after-school tutoring and homework assistance, and organized sports programs for all age levels. Throughout the year we also host special events aimed at improving self-esteem and assisting older teens with finding part-time employment and/or opportunities to volunteer in our community. At these events we have speakers from various government agencies such as assembly men and women, our city’s mayor, sports figures, and other inspiring individuals.

We invite you to take part in supporting Apple Youth Group by making a monetary donation. All amounts great and small are greatly appreciated! We have five levels of sponsorship:

Donation Letter Follow-up After Fundraising Event

Dear _______________,

Thank you so much for the support you’ve given to Apple Youth Group this year. We wanted to touch bases with you again to give you a little update. Because of your kindness and the incredible support of businesses and individuals in our community our fundraising drive was a huge success! We were able to meet and exceed our fundraising goal of $150,000. Our first order for new sports equipment from a local vendor has been placed, and we were able to purchase consumable learning materials for the kids at a fantastic discount from a school supply store in our community. With the funds raised we are now able to provide healthier meals and snacks for the at-risk youth enrolled in our after-school programs.

Thank you for being an important part of our success. Our hearts are filled with happiness and hope for the future. We invite you to stop by our facility at any time for a visit and to see your donation in action!

Thanks a million,
