Saying goodbye to such wonderful friends coworkers has never been harder. Many of you may have heard rumors that I will be leaving our California office for a permanent move to New York. I want to let everyone know that those rumors are true. An opportunity at our New York office presented itself, and I accepted a position to head up operations on the East Coast. My wife and I are originally from New York, and as her parents have had some serious health issues we felt the time was right to move back home so we can spend quality time with both of our families. I am incredibly grateful for all the friendships I have made here in this office over the past 8 years. And I thank you for the business wisdom, product knowledge and technical skills you have shared with me along the way. I hope to visit you here in California from time to time, and I look forward to congratulating you on the many successful projects you are engineering over the next few years. I would like you to know that at the end of the month I will be leaving the school district to take a new teaching position at a private elementary school. I was offered an employment opportunity and compensation package I could not easily pass up. Saying goodbye is especially difficult as I have made so many awesome friendships during the four years I have been teaching here at _______________. Each one of you has touched my life and my teaching career in a very special way. For this I will always be grateful.
